The title says it all. I've tried removing the cover to see if it was binding but the bike seems to be locked into first gear. The shifter feels basically rock solid...no play. I only did a top end rebuild and recently slapped it all back together. Any ideas?

I will have to double check that when I get home. Odd thing is that it was stuck in neutral when I first noticed the problem. We tried spinning the rear wheel and shifting but it didn't budge. So, we never successfully got it into first (at least it never felt like it shifted). But now, for some reason, it appears to be locked in gear.Comment
