    1984 gs450l

Found a possible stable mate for my gs750, 84' gs450L, got the owner down to $350, PO thinks it needs a r/r and stator, seems like the 1984 is the bastard when it comes to parts, especially the r/r from Ricks, either high $$ or not applicable. Might still jump on it.

You don't want the Rick's r/r (if you plan to keep bike awhile) .Go here do some reading

I think the charging system on the 450's is the easiest to remedy. The stator from any modern GS500 should bolt right in place, and the R/R from the same bike will bolt into place as well.

Got a 3 phase R/R on the way for the GS450, thinking about loosing the airbox and mounting Uni foam pod air filters, got reverse cone mufflers mounted. Any ideas about stepping up the jet sizes for the air filter swap?
