    Oil sight glass

Years ago an engine fell over and luck would have it whatever it hit pushed the sight glass out. So my question is for those that have installed one what's the process. I was for sure planning on some three bond around it when reinserting it.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

A look at a spare cover shows a generous amount of adhesive.
they are like brake res sight glasses.
Is there any solvent that will melt ages old sealant?

I have replaced one, make sure hole in case is nice and clean. I used scotchbright, very thin smear of threebond in hole and around sight glass rubber. Ease in with your thumb, wipe any excess sealer off with solvent and leave to set.
