GS1000 Piston Kit

[Russ' GS1000E]

OK, so I finally measured the cylinder bores and pistons on my GS.
Everything is at the wear limit, and the bores are 3 thou out of round.
So even though it all looks really good, a piston kit looks in the cards.

Sooo, what piston kit does the 'GS Collective' recommend ?

Do you want to stay at stock-ish displacement or go up to 1085/1100 cc? For the money I'd go with a 1085/1100 Wiseco kit. Noticeably more torque on the butt dyno.

Stock 1100G pistons shouldn't be hard to find. Add about $100 for rings and you should be good to go for 1/3 of what a wiesco kit w/bore job will set you back.

I went with the Wiseco 1085 because it's cheaper than a stock oversize set

I think that's most peoples motivation
