Tire upgrade from 130 to 150

There was a thread (that I can't find no) that spoke to interference issues with the installation of a 150 tire.

I recently installed one on my '83 Kat and have a half inch clearance on each side of the swingarm so it can be done.

    Handling is noticable different

a 180/55-17 will fit the swing arm but brake arm/chain alignment issues abound

I just put a 150/70-17 on a 1150 wheel in my swinger.. Drops in, but there are a couple things that need attended to on an 1100E..dunno bout the Katanas..

I just went and looked at my brake stay and it looks very similar to yours, just rusty... I also noticed I put a radial on the back and a bias ply on the front. Rides fine but I didn't think you could mix them... shows to go ya...Cafekid, email me if you get a chance...
