    Grease fitting needs special nozzle?

I want to grease the clutch mechanism under the cover on my '79GS550. There is a fitting there that is small with straight sides, not your typical zerk fittings. I've seen these same type on old Hondas. Has anyone a source for an adapter or nozzle I can get for my grease gun to fit this style fitting?

      It's like this,

My standard Zerk type grease gun doesn't work on it. Also, they are pressed in.

I used a regular grease gun to shoot grease into the fitting and it worked fine on my two 550's.

Hmmm.. That's interesting. My gun doesn't seem to make a good seal as grease comes out around the sides and doesn't seem to be getting through the fitting. You got me curious though. I'm going to get a different grease gun and see if it makes any difference.

            Needle injector...

I have one of these, inexpensive, and you should be able to find them at your local NAPA..

part #715-1200 or you can get one that just sticks onto your grease gun fitting..

Make a gasket of some sort to seal the grease gun tip and squirt away.
