    Reusing Crankcase Bolts?

Next question from me... the search feature just isn't being nice to me at the moment and I can't find any answers!

Anyway, all but three of my crankcase bolts came out ok when I split the cases, is it safe to reuse these and just replace the three ones I broke or should I be replacing them all?

I reused mine. Just be careful when you tighten them; use a torque wrench and stop if the threads seem like they are going to pull out (I stripped a couple of case threads, but the screws were fine).

Thanks Ed, I have been planning on getting a torque driver to do this properly.

I like to put a dab of anti seize on the bolts, helps to lube the threads. Make sure to get a torque wrench something like 0-50 or even an inch lbs wrench

Cheers guys, locktite/anti sieze and a torque driver are both on my list of things to get soon for the putting it back together phase...
