    1983 GS1100E Engine Overhaul

I am rebuilding a '83 GS1100E and though the engine seems pretty strong and no apparent issues, I am looking to do a complete inspect, replace, and repair bike. Question: Does anyone have good recommendations of who (shop) that can take a engine and do a complete rebuild. I found some through the internet but wanted to hear from the GSR group.

    Thanks in advance.

Send it to Ray in California. Or better yet ride it out there for a summer trip. Stay while he is rebuilding it and go watch him at the track... If I had the time, I would... His name on the forum is RapidRay.. he builds motors for a living and is reasonable...

You are closer than Ray But California does have a little more pull than Ohio, in my opinion. Unless we can play golf in Sandusky...

If it runs good why do you want to rebuild it?
