Bike wont start after clutch cable change

So I was riding down the road the other day on my 82 gs650l and my clutch cable snapped at the handlebar. Really not a big deal I just pushed it to a safe spot and got a new cable and proceeded to put it on which went with no hitches until I go to fire the bike up and the starter does nothing the bike makes 0 attempt to do anything.

I tried bump starting it to no avail as well

fuses are all new battery is new no the kill switch wasnt on

    any ideas?

The child-proof and dangerous clutch safety interlock switch?

Maybe it's the clutch safety switch. When you pull the clutch in, it's supposed to complete the circuit.
