78 1000 tire difference between Canadian and 'othe'

Why do the tire sizes differ between Canadian and other markets? Been looking at finding a partner fir the Metzeler Marathon 100/90 19 57H front that came with my extra 78 1000. Currently there is a 120/90 18 on the rear which is correct according to the Canadian specs. but of course different from the 'other' mainly US markets showing a 17. I see alot of people are running 130's on the back so I can't see any reason not to go with one of those.

130 is too wide for the wire wheel rim =2.15 x 18

Stay with the 120 - the 120 Avon is actually a bit too wide, also

Thats good info to know. I'll have to check out the Metzeler site and see what I can find to fit.
