1985 Suzuki GS550L Valve AdjustmentI'm fairly new here and just got my GS550L up and running after replacing pilet jet and all o-rings in the carb and now ready to tackle the valve job. Just had a few question before digging in. Is it a hard job to do and how long does it take. What tools will I need and will I need to replace the head cover gasket? Anything else I need to know before getting started? Any help would be great. Again thank you all for your time and help.Tags: None

Hey there. Best thing for you to do is go back to Basscliff's site and read the Valve Adjustment article - http://members.dslextreme.com/users/...adjustment.pdf

You may not need a new gasket but I'd get one anyway just to make sure what's new and what isn't. You should also probably get a new breather cover gasket while you are at it. Past that, I'm not sure since I only have the 8v engineCowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace
