550 spark plug wiring mess

yes, I can make a mess of just about anything some days.


Can Anyone tell me, which ignition coil, connected to which lead on the ignition box, connects to which spark plugs. I seem to have it all backwards. engine fires one one cylinder badly, and I don't really want to risk going through all the different possible combinations to find the right set up. anyone have a wiring diagram?

bike is a 1982 gs550m (little Kat)

Usually left coil to 1 and 4, right to 2 and 3. Can't remember the colors. (I'm color blind..)

Left fires 1 & 4, that's a white ground. Right is the black ground obviously firing 2 & 3.

Left coil fires 1 and 4 ( #1 is under clutch hand)- have you visited Basscliff's emporium for a wiring diagram?
