cam chain tensioner knob

So I took apart my cam chain tensioner to replace those damn leaking orings and that oil seal, but I lost the black knob using for setting it! is there a part number for this item or an easy way to replace this part?? (not on the fiche, but neither are the orings)

Do you mean the knurled knob that turns the exposed spring? Lots of suzuki gs cam tensioners pop up on ebay-probably have similar knobs if nothing else.

Yes, the black knurled knob -- you turn it and hold it in place while you push in the rod and lock it down with the screw. I lost that and I was trying to find a way not to pay $20 for that part lol. I see them on ebay, but just trying to save a buck.

Try a salvage yard! the knob not only fits the shaft, but anchors the spring.
