    checked valve clearence

    checked valve clearance here is what I got


    Exhaust
    1-.049

    2-.076

    3-.064

    4-.076

    intake

    1-.051

    2-.076

    3-.051

    4-.051

      Nice numbers, but is that in nanometers or miles?

      It appears that maybe they are the metric APPROXIMATIONS on a set of INCH feelers.

      If you would like some help translating them, see the end of my sig.

          Hi Walter, If that is in mm, then you are golden. The range is .03 to .08 mm though many members run .09 and .10. Ray

                      The .051, .064 and .076 mm look like legit feeler gauge measurements, but not sure how you arrived at .049 unless you combined 2 smaller feeler guage strips?
                      Anyhow, you really don't need to touch anything this time around. Someone's already done a good job recently?

                              I gapped one out to .10 last time I did the clearances, and I was worried that it was too much. Good to know that it's a normal practice. I did all the other ones within normal specs.
