1. When I ride I get surges of power... like someone has their hand over the intake and takes it off, or is pluging in the spark plug cable on a cyl. The jerk of power seems to happen at cruzing speed on up. Under cruzing speed it seems to be down a cyl , but the pipes seem to all be warm or hot.. The surge seems like it is the way the bike should run... I need a starting point...I think the carbs are good .... but ...
2. Where do I find cheep fork seals? and yes I do have a moto crosser friend to give me the correct charge.
3. I heard the coils are normally weak???? Is this true? I picked up some early 80s honda dual output coils (with the twist off nut thinigies for the plug wires) would this be a good upgrade? or am I ****ing in the wind again?
4. The petcock is giving me problems...or is this question related to the question #1.? the surge line running to it seems to have good pressure. but how do I test it to be shure? About once every 10 times I run it, it dumps fuel, the floats and valves seem to be ok...
it has an aftermarket 4 into 1 from 2 owners ago.seems to have stock intake box...dont know if that will make much of a diff...
This bike is a beater.. but it is my only sourse of transportation, any help will be much accepted! but keep in mind I'm so broke I cant afford to pay attention. If you like this bike... I'll trade for almost anything smaller with less hastles! O.K. that is the jist of it... tell me what I should doo... other than getting a better job! LOL
