    Peening a drive chain master

    AZR is stranded here in Portland, he needed an emergency chain replacement

    After calling around, we found an EK 630 x 96 that fits well, but has the master link that needs to be peened, rather than a clip

    We've been clamping and whacking the pins with no success. We lack the chain tool that does this

    Any suggestions?
    1978 GS 1000 (since new)
    1979 GS 1000 (The Fridge, superbike replica project)

    1981 GS 850 (anyone want a project?)
    1981 GPZ 550 (backroad screamer)

      Will a local motorcycle shop loan you their tool with a large deposit as collateral?

              We ransacked my garage for some suitable tip, no luck

              Took it to the dealer, $14 and 15 minutes, Rob's test riding the bike as I type
