    I guess if the shafts are worn it would be worse. I'll check mine that way next time to see if it makes a diff.

      Interesting. I have always done one at a time, but double checked after all are done, and they were fine. Perhaps because that play is still minimal....might be a factor after more wear.

        Yeah, that's what I did. Did them one at a time then double checked after I finished. According to the manual, it should be between .002" - .005". I chose to adjust them on the loose side so I only used the .005" feeler gauge.

        When I double checked, the feeler gauge slid in and slid back out easily. And while the feeler gauge was under the valves, there was very little to no free play on the rockers.

        I hope I did OK...

          You can do a "NO-GO" check and see that 0.006" does NOT fit.

            And if the .006" does fit, then that means it's too loose. That's a good check. I will do it later today

              Jeff, you need to stop being this anal because it will make NO difference using one feeler gauge! Ray.

                From the manual I have read its 3-5 thou, I always ran a tight 4 on my stock cams. At 5 you will have more valve noise.

                  I think you're right. There is a lot of valve noise. When I get my valve cover gasket, I'll make them a little bit tighter to .004" instead of .005".
