 I need valves!I need 2 intake and 2 exhaust valves for my 1978 gs 750. I checked Cycle re-cycle and they have everything but. Any suggestions?Tags: None

 Z1 Enterprises has valves. Look for a used cylinder head on eBay and cannibalize that for valves.

 Thanks, I got in touch with Cycle re-cycle and I am thinking about buying a used head from him. He tells me that he can sell me a head that I can lap the valves, replace the seals and be good to go for no more than $175. My head needs seats cut and also has 2 exhaust bolts broke off. The valve job and bolt extractions will cost over 200$. Cycle re-cycle will sell me used valves for $10. four valves plus shipping is another $50. So the difference in money is about $100. That is alot for my very limited budget. Any thoughts on which is better?

 If you do buy a used head get the top of your cylinders and the head cleaned up at a machine shop so they mate.1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
 1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

 I think I will be better off sticking with the head I have. Cycle Recycle has good used valves for $10 each, so I think I will get 4 of them and continue with the valve job.

 Is this the case, I must have misread the p/n on the fische. I could swear they had the same number. Well if they are wrong you can either hang on to them or send them back.  The last 5 digits of the part#s are 45XXX for most 750 parts and 49XXX for most 1000/1100 parts....
