    air out crankcase???

    hi there,

    Own a 78 gs 750.
I wanted to replace my gound wire attached to the engine because it was corroded.
But when i removed the bolt retaining the ground wire, the one on top of the crankcase, at the back underneath the carbs, I heard a noice like there was coming a lot of air out of it!
Doesn't seem normal to me or is it???

    Thanks,

    Marcel

If that was the first time that bolt was ever removed since factory assembly, yes. The factory used to put a LITTLE bit of water in the bottoms of the holes so that the compression, or lack thereof, would hold the bolts tight. This is also why you find some corrosion on the very bottom threads of some Suzuki case bolts. Ray.
