Crankcase leaks are very rare. Best to take a real close look, most likely it's something more obvious.
Being someone who just recently split, cleaned and reassembled his crank cases, If I did apply too little liquid gasket (I used yamabond) and the crank case leaks, is there a quick fix like applying liquid gasket to the outside of the crankcase? I haven't completed the rebuild yet, but am preparing for the worst.
