GS750E - 1981 - Were is my 6th gear?

In my Clymer manual, it says 6 gears. I only have 5.

Does this have anything with beeing a european model?

No, it has to do with being a 750.
Only GS 550 and smaller ever had a sixth gear.

No, you should only have 5 cogs to play with as Mr Suzuki intended. Your manual is wrong.
