    What is to be said about this? How many of us really look close unless you have to? It's above #1, valve cover to head bolt.

    It's ugly- somone got overzealous tightenning at some point and added goop to fix problem.

      This is what happens when you put a long bolt in a short hole.

        Drill it out and put a bolt with a washer and nut. Be nice to it to not crack it more.
        Flatted the bottom so the washer sits flat so not to but stress on the area.
