Wind it out. It has tiny pistons that only go up and down about an inch. It needs to spin fast to run efficiently. Let that little sucker scream.

On the 550 you don't even make any power until 5,500 rpm , keep the rpms up for better mileage and performance.

The ratio is 14/47 as indicated in the manual.
about 60 mph at 5000 puls the countershaft cover and check out the front sprocket. I doubt anyone would want lower gearing
