Started Medussa {GS1100GK} in the garage today, & there seems to be oil leaking past the head gasket on the exhaust side. Could this be? Would retorquing the head seal it?

You sure it's not coming from cam cover gasket- maybe it loosened up?1981 gs650L

I would look hard at the cam cover and tachometer drive first, as stated. It could well be the head gasket.sigpic Too old, too many bikes, too many cars, too many things

It seems to be from the head to cylinder joint, along through front, below the exhaust ports. The top cylinder fin is what is getting wet.Comment

double confirm that, when the valve cover gasket leaks it can end up in some astonishing places.Comment
