    shaft seal leaking

    my 850 has a bit of gear oil dripping off the boot...where can i get that gasket? searched z1 and no luck...same with the shifter seal

    Not real sure if this is the right seal, in fact not really what you're talking about, but you're in the ball park.

      Looks right to me. I need the same gear-shift seal for my 650.

          What "boot" would this be? For the drive shaft?

          You looked at the link provided right? Did you look around in the fishe for the various seals and gaskets?

            yes the drive shaft boot...i did look on the link but no idea where im looking and what for..

              If you download a parts catalog from cliff's site you can search that-a-way. Suspects for your situation would be the seal the output shaft rotates through and the o-ring which encircles the driven assembley

                  I don't think Cliff hosts the parts catalog, but it's already been linked above in this thread.

                  Time for you to go to the parts fishe and look though the various sections to find the gaskets and seals you need. It's not that hard.

                    i dont know what im looking for...there 3 or 4 oil seals listed..ive never had been behind where the shaft bolts..

                    i got no clue what the thing is called
