Valve Shims swop/sell in the UK?

    Hi,

Any of the UK guys want to swop/sell valve shims?

    I have:-

    2.80 x3 NOS
    2.85 x2 Used

    I need:-

    2.60 x2
    2.75 x1

I believe there's a USA based Shim Club but it is easier if I could do swops in the UK. If anyone has any for sale at a reasonable price I'd consider that also.

    Thank you.

Don't say can't, as anything is possible with time and effort, but, if you don't have time things get tougher and require more effort.

It would be a real good idea to get our own UK shim club up and running, I have got a couple of shims I will see what sizes they are.

How can we establish a UKShim club?

Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!

                    Shim club

Once you have set up the basic club, Frank will allow you to post a tread in the Parts and Services section. You can see what we have there also. Ray

Was just thinking guys, Z1 enterprises do a full shim kit to give us a good start, unless we can generate a good variety between us. If you think this is viable, and would be prepared to chip in, I can organise.

The only thing 'wrong' with the shim kits is that you get the fat ones in there as well (3.00s etc) and they never end up being used. It's the 2.75s and below that most people need.
