Keep in mind however that there's a few of the bottom half gaskets that won't interchange. The cases changed in 82, look like the 1000G and 1100G instead of the way your cases look. I think the clutch and stator cover are different enough that the earlier gaskets won't line up right. The valve cover changed somewhere in there too and had an extra bolt up front.
