    1980 GS 550 Exhaust

I bought a 1980 GS 550 in over all god shape, 1500.6 miles on it but it has been sitting for YEARS! The pipes were full of mouse houses, and the bottom of the mufflers are rusted through. Question - Will GS 650 pipes bolt up? If use a 4 into 1, what is the best one available and will it be a PITA to rejet?

    Thanks,

    Brian

You're more likely to find a 550 exhaust than a 650 and I doubt the 650 would fit anyways. In theory, a 4 in 1 won't require main jet change, but the needles height might need fiddling. Airbox changes create main jet headaches- do you have the stock airbox/filter?

Have you stumbled across this guy's site??

My air box is original. I am thinking of the 4 into 1 only because it seems darn near impossible to find a clean set of OEM pipes.
