    Oil Leaks with Synthetic

My 83 1100E didn't leak a drop when i bought her. I decided to switch the regular oil to synthetic, putting in Rotella T6. Now i have several seepage leaks from different places around the engine. Is this a common result when changing from regular oil to synthetic? Should I drain the synthetic and go back to regular oil?

Do it if you want, but it will still leak.

Some synthetics have higher detergent content, and will clean the crud that is blocking the leaks.
Now that they are clean, they will leak, no matter what you put in there.

Do not tighten stuff in the hopes the leaks will disappear.
You will break stuff doing that.

The problem is not the oil. The problem is the gaskets are worn out.
