Yep, different from what I have seen in my somewhat limited experience.1983 GS 1100 Guided Laser
1983 GS 1100 G
2000 Suzuki Intruder 1500, "Piggy Sue"
2000 GSF 1200 Bandit (totaled in deer strike)
1986 Suzuki Cavalcade GV 1400 LX (SOLD)
I find working on my motorcycle mildly therapeutic when I'm not cursing.

I've never seen a GS with those type of coils and I thought I had seen them all. hehOriginally posted by 1948man View PostYep, different from what I have seen in my somewhat limited experience.Komorebi-The light filtering through the trees.
I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself than be crowded on a velvet cushion. H.D.T.

Maybe something for us here in Canada......only....
The NGK plug caps (the newer looking ones) are not part of the original, I purchased them from Z1 to replace the old ones but as you can see they are no where near the same.....so they were never used.

Clearly they are off a Japanese bike. Not a GS, and my Kawasaki coils are different, that leaves Honda and Yamaha.

You can take the wires off these coils without digging them out of a bunch of epoxy?? COOL!!!Getting over a head cold so GK's post a couple of days ago just went "click".The 4 83 750 and my 85 all have the same coils,I'm thinking it might be a 3 gen 750 thing.

Makes it sooooo much easier to remove the wires and maybe put in some yellow ones, or some red ones, or some purple ones.....Originally posted by SVSooke View PostYou can take the wires off these coils without digging them out of a bunch of epoxy?? But I will leave them stock black for now....

Those are the stock coils for the last generation 750's. I have the same ones on my bike and its as from the factory.
On my 550, I bought katana coils from a mid to late 90's bike. Think I paid $30 or so off ebay. I believe the 90's bandits, kats, and a few others shared the same coils as the 550 and 750 of the late 80's. But its been a while since I searched out that info.1984 GS550ES
