    New rings needed?

He guys, I picked up a low mileage 650 cylinder and pistons for my 550/650 engine rebuild. The cylinder and pistons have just under 7000 original miles. I can still see the oem hone marks on the cylinder walls. Do you think I need to put new rings on or is the mileage low enough that it's not worth the cost?

    Thanks,

Unless the rings are damaged they should be fine for another 100,000 miles or so.

Thanks tkent02. However, I forgot to mention that the pistons and cylinder were disassembled so I have NO idea which piston went in which cylinder. Does that change things?
