    Removing crankshaft

    How do you lock the crankshaft on an 1100 to loosen the big nut on the end?

    Put it in gear and hold the brake..
    Otherwise a big impact wrench works best

        use an air impact wrench if you have access to one, if not use an impact driver with a socket on it.( the one you have to hit with a hammer)
        1978 GS1085.
