No kidding. Frank doesn't boot people for good behavior. He does it for REPEATEDLY poor behavior. I have some unsolicited personal emails from the guy insulting me if you need some further evidence of what kind of guy Eric is.Last edited by Nessism; 09-09-2013, 04:12 PM.Ed

I am not sure which I find more sad, that he offended so many members for so long or that he does not realize he did it. IDK.Comment

I think that you guys should just let Eric go, & get back to the original topic of dropping revs for touring.Comment

So true!
I installed one of those later 1100 final drive units on my first 850 and it had a noticeable effect of dropping rpm's. The bike lost some acceleration, but the cruise rpm's dropped down to what I thought was a very nice middle ground. A 6th gear would have been better, that way acceleration through the gears wouldn't have suffered by jacking the rear end ratio, but overall it was a nice improvement.

I would love to drop the highway revs on my GK. Am putting a 17" rear wheel on next tire change. That'll help about 3-4%. Should help handling too. I think the 1100 has enough torque that acceleration won't be affected much at all.Comment
