    Gs1000 clutch basket

    Will a 85 750EF basket fit a 78 GS1000E?

    Thanks
1978 Gs1085 compliments of Popy Yosh, Bandit 1200 wheels and front end, VM33 Smoothbores, Yosh exhaust, braced frame, ported polished head
1983 Gs1100ESD, rebuild finished! Body paintwork happening winter 2017:D

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.

Thanks, there is a complete unit here for $65. Figured a spare would be good.

Pretty sure all chain drive GS1000 clutchs are identical. Prone to back plate/spring slop noise. The plates are larger diameter than the 1000G and 1100E clutch, but uses less plates.
