    650 engine

    Hello, was wondering if the internals from a shaftdrive 650 are te same as a chain drive one except for the output setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Nope, mucho different-I like easy questions! for starters,the shafties use a plain bearing crank while the E's had the traditional roller bearing one.

      Heads might interchange and the jugs may be the same. Carbs are identical.
      Even the engine covers are different. Think of the 650E motor as a 550 or 750 with a different bore.
