    GS1100 Head gasket qustion

    Any one know can I use a factory 1150 head gasket on a GS1100 that has a 1168 kit on it.

      You need to trim it, but I can't tell you how. Call Rapid Ray (search for his phone number).

        The OEM 1150 gasket is not cheap at around $100. The 1166 bore (75mm) is only 1mm bigger than a stock 1150 bore (74mm). The Suzuki 1150 parts fiche shows no oversize head gasket offered but they do offer a 1mm over piston (75mm). It is likely that the only head gasket offered would work with no trimming if you see my point. Disclaimer: I have not used the factory 1150 head gasket on a 1166 block, but it looks like it would work. I would use a cometic gasket and be done with it.

          Ray trimmed an 1150 gasket for Posplayr. A guy on here (can't remember his name) used it for a 1168 kit and it worked.
