77-82 GS 750 gears. Tooth count: 38 drive, 29 driven.
They can be found as an aftermarket part as well from a few different performance parts retailers.
Quite a few posts can be found as Pos mentioned.

I bought a set of after market ones once and they broke. I would stay with the stock ones. I switch because that what I was advised to do. I use the stock gears now and have never had a problem. It is really only a problem if you intend to wind her up way past 10,500 rpm. I have my shift light set at 10,000 rpm. Save your money and skip that mod not worth it IMO. I don't even use a top end oiler on my 85 GS1150 and 15 years later the cams look as good as new and they are some big cams too.Last edited by Guest; 12-29-2013, 10:29 AM.Comment

Wow! I wonder how they broke? Something went wrong with the oil pump or the clutch hub.I bought a set of after market ones once and they broke. I would stay with the stock ones. I really could not say why they broke. I know a few other guys also had some that broke also around the same time as mine some said that there was a bad batch of them not sure about that though either. I was told to replace them with the stock 750 gear set but I just put the stock set of 1150 gears back in and left it like that. Oil pump worked fine same basket. It was strange the gear on the basket was fine but the pump gear just broke 1/2 the teeth off of it. Good thing the idiot light was still hooked up. I don't know I think some of these mods are more hype than necessary. I don't run a top end oiler either never felt the need for it. Even using 410/380 lift cams in my 85 GS1150. My 84 GS1100 has a top end oiler on it but I bought it that way.Comment

I run 750 pump gears AND top end oilers on all the motors I build. They are just cheap insurance to put extra oil on the cams and rockers. Another benefit is that the extra oil cools and increases valve spring life. Some people aren't aware of that benefit but it is a fact. Ray.Comment

I have never heard of the extra cooling effect Doh! But it makes since now that you mention it if your oils not traveling up the block it got to be cooler. I like cooler. I will have to put one on it makes to much since.I run 750 pump gears AND top end oilers on all the motors I build. They are just cheap insurance to put extra oil on the cams and rockers. Do you know how much the oil pressure increases with the gear change?Comment

On mine you need to relieve the pressure some as on a hard rev it will drain you sump and peg a 15 psi oil pressure gauge.I have never heard of the extra cooling effect Doh! With stock you are lucky to have anymore than 6-7 psi under hard reving.
Mechanical oil pressure gauges can be problematic due to the vibration and hydraulic pulsing so if you can afford it I would probably recommend an electronic gauge (I'm on my third one starting on the engine and relocating to the handlebars and still had longevity issues). They are not cheap however.Comment

You might consider adding Liqui-Moly. I was having cam wear in my roadracing sidecar ('80 GS750). That stopped after adding MOS2. I've posted the oil analysis elsewhere on the board.Comment

There is a set on Ebay right now a little pricey though, $195.95 or best offer. I searched , Schnitz Racing, APE, Star Racing, Orient Express, With no luck, They all used to have them in stock. I have a set I purchased 15 yrs. ago from Vance and Hines and run them still. Don' know if they make them any more or not though.
