    Oil fill adapter for breather

Hey guys. Checked the search feature for the thread size to the oil fill cap. I want to run a breather from this point and need to get the adapter. Ive seen on bikes, just cant figure out the thread size.
    Thanks

You might try checking with agemax. I think his adapter is a custom one off, but he can probably help you. Ray

mine is a breather kit made by Goodridge. i am not sure if they sell them anymore and are quite rare to find second hand.

          hmmm
on the GS turbo kit's some company's offered a oil return to the fill cap hole.
very nice rotatable piece with i think 1/4" npt threads.
i may have one or 3...have to look.
these are knurled so you can remove without tools to add oil.

mine measures at M30 x 1.25mm. might be wrong if its not metric but i would think all thread sizes are metric on Suzuki's.

EDIT........ my bike is a GS1000E so an 1100 may be different

PM me if you have an extra to sell. need to get some of that internal pressure out of the crankcase.

why are you getting so much pressure build up?

What is wrong with the 'normal' vent at the top of the valve cover?

And why is there so much pressure in the first place?

Just seems like a lot of pressure with oil cap off. I had none at the valve cover breather. I took it apart and found one screen missing and an antique looking gasket up there. I removed the gasket and resealed with rvt and ran a long hose with a small breather filter pod on it. I get some pressure release now, but would like to get more out. Compression is near perfect, so its not blow by, just a lot of crankcase pressure. Its probably part of my oil leak issue. Thought about a weld on bung on the header collector with a hose from oil cap fill area to draw that put.
Have you ever checked your crankcase pressure with the cap off whil running?
Do it, you will see what i mean.

You don't have pressure in the clutch area any more than you do at the top of the valve cover because the two areas are connected internally.

What you are observing as "pressure" while the engine is running is probably just oil being slung off the outside of the clutch basket.
