    Going up 1 tooth size

I want to go up from the stock 15 tooth front sprockets on the 77 750 and all the 78 1000s to a 16 tooth for a little better gear ratio and get a tad better gas mileage. Staying with the 630 chains.

Question is this..will there be enough clearance in the sprocket cover so the chain wont hit anything??? Want to be sure before i order stuff.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Donno about the chain clearance, but I bet your mileage is still the same or worse, at least on the 750. The 750 needs to spin to be efficient.
