How to remove front left cover - front sprocket cover

    Hello Dear,

I need to change sprockets and drive chain on my bike.

On front left cover is connected clutch cable.

    How to remove cover?

Do I need to remove clutch cable or just take it out together?
There is a pict in att.

    Bike is GS550 Katana 1983.

    Thanks in advance
    Goran

Cover comes off with cable attached. Look at your service manual. If you don't have one you might want to look up "basscliff" and download one. Check my signature for the Newbie Mistakes thread too so you can be aware of some common pitfalls with GS bikes.

Tip for this job: leave the chain on until you have undone the front sprocket nut. Stick the bike in gear and put the rear brake on to hold the output shaft still while you undo the nut.
