Torque spec for clutch basket nut?

I tried to look in the manual on bikecliff's site, but I can not get it to open. I need the torque value on the single large nut that secures the clutch basket.

by hand???
1-1/4" socket fits great.
a few raps from a half inch impact will do it.

By hand is fine until you take out your clutch, oil pump and shifter drum.

I meant with pliers but not using torque wrench.

I felt it would be okay because the nut also has the washer that bends up to lock it in place.

They all have that, even the ones that come loose, which is a lot of them.
There's a reason people buy the super duper expensive nuts that don't come off.

Ok. So I gather from your responses that I need to go buy a socket and go back in and torque it 36-50 lbs.? I want to do this correctly and I appreciate everyone's input.

It is a good idea.
I'd get an APE heavy duty clutch hub nut, a 1/2" electric impact from harbor freight and a 32mm impact socket.

This thread made me laugh...I've done a Clutch Basket removal and have a torque wrench; only needed to buy the 32mm socket.

Do the job right for your safety...and so people here don't respond the way they do with your actions.

i use pliers to pull nose hairs...
makes my eyes water something terrible!
