    GS1000E Head Gasket Question

    Hi everyone.

Please can someone help, I'm rebuilding my 1978 GS1000E engine and its time to install the cylinder head. The head gasket I have has large holes around the outer four studs with a copper seal. My question is that there are also four
O rings with the gasket set that appear to fit these larger holes on the head gasket..it this correct?

I know that this is my first post but really would appreciate any advice.

    Thanks in advance

    Mike

The originals used a seal which fit inside the copper washers.
