    Stator on GS1100E?!?!

OK...so this is really baffling me...need some confirmation before I pull the trigger on buying yet another stator.

    First off, 1982 frame, 1983 GS1100 motor...I think...

I purchased an Electrosport ESG020...Amazon said it would fit...it doesn't, ID/Mounting Pattern is too large (38mm ID).

Then thinking it must be the wrong part, I purchased Rick's 21-303...a sure thing I thought. Wrong...it's the same size as the electrosport (18 poles, 38mm ID).

So baffled as I was, I measured the ID of the take off stator and it is 35mm.
According to this web site it looks like I have a 1983 GSX1100 motor.
ESG014 is what I need according to Electrosport if it is indeed a 1983 GSX1100 motor...

Oh yea....the stator cover is silver, the rest of the motor is black...

    What is the OUTSIDE diameter?

    I have a 103mm diameter stator with a 38mm core and a 93mm stator with a 35mm core.

    Contact me for details.

not sure of the sizes but if you have a katana 1000/1100 engine/rotor/stator cover those are bastard parts(small 750 size).
the big GS stators are all the same except for the connectors.

Yup it sound like you have a 750 stator.
I'd like to see a picture of your rotor and inside of the stator cover.
