    81GS650L Clutch Cable Pull?

Replaced the clutch cable today with a cable provided by the PO. Assuming it is a Motion Pro cable. PO indicated that he took off the old cable and was going to replace due to cable stretch. Before and after photo shows how much the clutch arm had to be rotated to connect the new cable. Quite a bit of stretch??

Now, with the bike on the center stand, when I pull in the clutch lever and put the bike in first gear, I can barely rotate the rear wheel by hand. Cable pull should be the same regardless of what cable is used. Is there something else going on that the clutch is not fully disengaging with the lever pull?

    Thanks,
    Dave

Yes- you might have to reposition clutch lever arm on pivot to eliminate slack.Needs only about 1/4 inch of play before you feel resistance.Chances are good that PO messed it up.
