    iam I Crazy?

Sure most of you know my 1100e is down and out. I have excess to a bandit 1200 motor complete everything for $500 with 8k on it, Is it feasible to.fit that motor in my Gs? can't be only one that has thought of it. I have excess to a machine shop etc. Just a thought looking at all options

Can't say I know the answer, but I'd like to see the results of trying...

'83 GS550es (didn't like the colours in the 80's, but they've grown on me)

kurt look around the performance threads for Aikim or something like that.
he has pics of his 80-81 1100 with an oil cooled motor in it.
i'm sure he would inform you on the process.

      here he is

Sell or trade the bandit motor for the one you need.

That's me. A great swap in my opinion. More power lighter no stator reg.rectf. problems

Would love to find a $500 stock 1200 bandit engine to swap for the beast that's in it now

This guy is the other expert on similar install.

If you go series r/r the charging is a non issue but the GSXR/bandit is more power and lighter narrower engine.

if you go oil cooled the starter clutch and rotor is a non issue also.
i like the flywheel effect of the roller bearing engine myself..the thrashing feel you get.

The biggest problem is off the shelf headers won't fit without some modifications.
