    Starter clutch bolt repair.

I have a slight noise during idle on my 1100ex that, after research on the site, is probably my starter clutch. Before I drain the oil and take my cover off I want to know if I need any special tools like a rotor puller to get to the bolts. In my clymer manual it looks like I do, and I don't see reference to the actual process anywhere on the forums.

Yes, you need a rotor puller. The bolts go in from the back of the rotor so to get to them you have to pull it.

I just went through that very process. A lot of folks helped out.
