I'd run it, except maybe not on an uber high RPM performance engine. -
As long as that gouge is not in the valve stem seal wipe area it shouldn't hurt anything. I'd make sure there are no burrs that can damage the valve stem seal during assembly too.Ed

Good to know. I will continue to use it until the is winter rebuild. ( I've been wanting to do it for the past 2 yrs now )
I have my rev limiter set to the start of the redline. I donut trust my self or the bike yet.Comment

I removed the burr ( sharp edge ) using a round screw driver shaft.
The gouge is just above the stem seal wipe area. The seal will squeegee oil out of the gouge and into the guid
Guess I need a new valve.
