Shift rod doesnt shift or spring back

    Hello,

i was replacing the shifter rod oil seal on my -81 gsx750e and messed up. I managed to disengage the rod and was wondering if I can get to it and fix this without removing the clutch basket? I havent got the tools at home for removing the clutch basket, so I'm just trying to figure out if it is necessary or not...

    Thanks // Fredrik

Unless you are a magician, removing the clutch basket is needed

Unfortunately I am not a magician. Couldn't quite tell from the photos in my Clymer manual if it was possible or not without removing the clutch basket. I will have to source an impact wrench and a heavy duty 32 mm socket then
