I have a set of camshafts out of an 4v1100. I do not own a dial indicator.Is there a way to id the camshafts using a micrometer?

If memory serves me correctly you measure the smaller side of the cam lobe and then the bigger part of the cam lobe then subtract the to measurements and multiple by 1.56 that should give you the lift of the cams. As farad measuring the duration the cams need to be installed and checked with a degree wheel. Then you will need to get a dial indicator to do that. -

The factory Suzuki service manual has the lobe height specs. Search out Basscliff's site and download the manual(s) you need for free.Ed
