OEM or Motion Pro clutch cable?

I've read a lot of conflicting information on forums about OEM vs Motion Pro quality of clutch cables.

Specifically for GSs, which do you prefer?

I just purchased a new OEM cable for my GS1000. Quality is VERY good and not that much more money then the Motion Pro. I'd stick with OEM.

I have never, ever heard anything but negative (and usually profane) comments about the MotionPro clutch cables. I'm not sure I'd want one even for a spare, since there's the effort involved in changing the cable out.

I'll buy OEM then. I read a lot online about how the Motion Pro cables were actually superior to the OEM.

That could vary by bike, though. Not all of these forums were for classic Suzukis.

I think for the KLR 650 the MP cable is good. For Suzukis go OEM.

I have a Motion Pro on my bike. The only reason I used it is because it got here first. I've read a lot on this site about how the MP is inferior to OEM.

I've never once heard anyone say Motion Pro is superior. But I've heard lots of negative.

My 30 yr old original broke last year. I replaced it with a Motion Pro. That lasted two weeks. I, then, got another original. .When I got it, & compared it's quality to the Motion Pro, I was amazed at the difference. It'll probably last another 30 yrs!

Oem.....I purchased a Motion Pro for my1150. it did not have the slack adjusters. The factory cable did mot have slots cut into the skack abjusters to take them off and put onto the new cables.

Motion Pro vs OEM on the Clutch Cable

I bought 2 motion pro's for my "T" during my trip to L.A., Christmas/New Year's 2013/14. I was sorta in a rush and read they don't last long...that's why I bought two. (At least I can get proficient at swapping them out if what they say is true) I'll let you guys know how long the current one lasts.
